More Details
The Law and Technology Workshop is now accepting applications for its Fall 2025 Season. This monthly virtual series—now entering its sixth year—serves as an intellectual home for scholars exploring the constantly-evolving field of law and technology.
Each session is centered on a work-in-progress shared in advance, introduced by a discussant, and followed by a spirited conversation with fellow participants. Authors are required to provide a discussion draft for circulation a week before their scheduled session. Our format is designed to provide deep, constructive feedback and to cultivate a collegial, interdisciplinary community.
We welcome submissions from scholars at any stage of their careers and embrace a broad interpretation of “law and technology.” Whether your work engages with artificial intelligence, privacy, platform governance, computational legal theory, cybersecurity, or digital assets, we are eager to read it—especially if it tackles how emerging technologies are reshaping legal norms and institutions—or vice-versa.
In addition, and for the third year in a row, the Workshop is teaming up with the Internet and Computer Law Section of the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) to offer an in-person session of the workshop to take place during the AALS Annual Meeting in January, 2026 in New Orleans. When submitting an abstract for consideration, you'll be able to indicate whether you have a preference for presenting at the annual meeting or in one of the regular monthly virtual sessions.
Participation norms: Presenting authors are expected to attend the full season, and all participants are encouraged to read drafts in advance and come ready to engage thoughtfully.
